1. Who is responsible

NILE Stones is a trading brand operated by El Nile Misr for Export (النيل مصر للتصدير), a sole proprietorship owned by Shawky Abdel Halim Gomaa Abdel Razek. El Nile Misr for Export is the controller responsible for personal data processed through this website.

Commercial Registration No. 58829. Tax Registration No. 724-179-713. Registered address: Haret El-Qatra, off Port Said Street, Toukh, Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt.

You can contact us about privacy or exercise your data rights at info@thenilestones.com. Additional contact details are available in our Legal Notice.

2. Information we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect the information entered into it: first name, last name, email address, city, client type, company and message. Fields marked with an asterisk are required to submit the form. We also receive ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested page.

3. Why we use it

We use form information to answer your enquiry, discuss your requirements, prepare a quotation and take steps you request before entering into a contract. The form asks you to confirm that you have read this policy and consent to this processing. Where the GDPR applies, processing requested by you before a possible contract is also based on Article 6(1)(b), and limited security, fraud-prevention and business-administration processing may rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f).

We do not use contact-form information for marketing unless we ask for separate, optional permission.

4. Service providers and recipients

Our website and form submissions are hosted by Netlify, Inc. Form notifications are delivered to our business mailbox. These providers process information for us under their contractual data-protection terms. Authorised NILE Stones personnel can access an enquiry only when needed to respond or operate the service.

Some catalogue pages load interface libraries through the jsDelivr content-delivery network. When those resources are requested, the network provider may receive technical request information such as an IP address and browser details.

We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Our operations and service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in Egypt and the United States. Where the GDPR applies, transfers are made using an adequacy decision where available or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards where required. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

6. How long we keep enquiries

We retain an enquiry that does not become an order for no longer than six months after the last meaningful contact. We delete it earlier when it is no longer needed or when a valid deletion request applies. This period applies to copies held in the Netlify form panel and in our business mailbox.

If an enquiry leads to a quotation, order, payment, dispute or other legal relationship, the records needed for that relationship may be retained for the longer period required by applicable contractual, tax, accounting or legal rules.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent where consent is used. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.

Send requests to info@thenilestones.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

At the date of this policy, the website does not use analytics, advertising pixels or non-essential cookies. We therefore do not display a consent banner. If we introduce optional tracking or comparable technologies, we will update this notice and request consent before they are activated where required.

9. Security and changes

We use access controls and trusted hosting and email providers to protect enquiries. We review submissions and remove ordinary enquiries from both the form panel and business mailbox according to the six-month schedule. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We review this notice when our services or legal obligations change and publish the updated date at the top of this page.
